Friday: Forgiveness and Consequences: Navigating Sin's Aftermath

Week 7:  BIG IDEA: God makes you the underdog for a reason: so that you will fully trust him.

Scripture Reading:  Philippians 4:19 and 2 Corinthians 9:8.

These verses affirm God’s promise to meet all your needs according to His riches in glory and to abound in every good work. As David was provided for by unexpected allies during his time in the wilderness, consider how God has met your needs, sometimes through unforeseen means and people.

Make a list and journal examples of the abundance of God’s provision in your life, not just materially but spiritually, and consider how trusting in God’s provision can enhance your faith journey.

Write down some ideas of how you might share this abundance by investing in relationships and serving in ways that fulfill God’s greater purpose for your life.  Helping the needy? Providing encouragement? Taking someone to coffee? Serving others? Taking the talents God has given you to the next level?

Pray: Thank God for how He has met your needs.  And ask Him to guide you in how you can best invest the time, talents, and treasures that He has given you into serving God and serving others.
