Monday: Forgiveness and Consequences: Navigating Sin's Aftermath

Week 7:  BIG IDEA: God makes you the underdog for a reason: so that you will fully trust him.

Scripture Reading:  2 Samuel 16:1-14. 

Begin by exploring David’s experience as an underdog. In these verses, David is fleeing from his own son Absalom, who has usurped his throne. As David journeys, he faces opposition and criticism, particularly from Shimei, who curses him. Despite Shimei’s harsh words, David chooses restraint and trust in God’s plan over revenge. 

Reflect and write down some situations that are overwhelming you or stressing you out.  How might God be using situations in your life that feel overwhelming or unfair to deepen your reliance on Him and to teach lessons you may not yet see?

Pray for God to help you to release your burdens to Him so that you can walk in freedom.
