Week 6: God's Presence in Our Suffering
Remember the BIG IDEA: Walking with God through life’s battles will weed out fake friends, reveal true friends, and prove that God is our greatest friend.
Reading: Psalm 3 and Psalm 23
Devotional: As David ascended the Mount of Olives, weeping and in despair, he still turned to God in worship. Both Psalm 3 and Psalm 23, penned by David, remind us that God is with us even in the darkest valleys. When we face betrayal, loss, or fear, we can find comfort in knowing that our Good Shepherd is right beside us. He doesn't always remove our troubles, but He promises to be with us through them.
Action: Meditate on God's presence in your life. How has He comforted you in past difficulties?
Action: Today, identify how God is inviting you to lean into His presence more fully in your current circumstances.
Prayer: Praise God for His presence. If you’ve neglected His presence, apologize and He will immediately forgive you. Ask for the ability to listen to His presence right now and all throughout your day.
