Wednesday: Forgiveness and Consequences: Navigating Sin's Aftermath

Week 6:  Surrendering to God's Will

Remember the BIG IDEA: Walking with God through life’s battles will weed out fake friends, reveal true friends, and prove that God is our greatest friend.

Reading: Psalm 31:1-5, 14-15

Devotional: When David fled from Absalom, he demonstrated a remarkable attitude of surrender to God's will. Despite his pain and confusion, he trusted in the Lord's guidance. Today's psalm, written by David, expresses this trust beautifully. In the face of adversity, David declares, "My times are in your hands." This is a powerful reminder that even when life seems out of control, we can trust in God's sovereignty.

Action: Identify an area of your life where you're struggling to let go. Surrender it to God in prayer, acknowledging His control and asking for His peace to guard your heart.

Prayer: Pray a prayer of surrender of the area that your flesh is fighting to hold onto.  Release that burden in Jesus’ name.
