SATURDAY: Living Fully Aligned with God’s Greater Purpose

BIG IDEA:
When we align our thinking with a kingdom mindset, we truly begin to connect to God’s greater purpose.
Reading: Matthew 6:9-10; Romans 12:1-2; Micah 6:8
Matthew 6:9-10
“Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Romans 12:1-2
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Micah 6:8
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
Devotional:
When Jesus taught us to pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven,” He gave us more than words—He gave us a way of life. To seek first the Kingdom is to live every day asking, “Father, what does Your will look like here, in this moment, with these people?”
A Kingdom mindset means we don’t separate “spiritual life” from “real life.” Our relationships, choices, spending, conversations, and reactions all become places where God’s reign can be seen. Romans 12 calls us to offer our whole selves to God and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
As our thinking aligns with His Kingdom, our priorities shift:
From comfort to calling
From self-protection to sacrificial love
From reputation-building to Jesus-exalting

In one practical way, how will you intentionally live out “Your kingdom come, Your will be done” today?
Response:
Micah 6:8 gives a simple yet profound picture of Kingdom living: do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. Wherever you go today, you carry the presence and purposes of the King. You are not just part of the Kingdom—you are participating in its advance.
