Friday: Living as Ambassadors of Reconciliation

Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””

Devotional: Understanding God's certain judgment and incredible mercy compels us to action. We are ambassadors of reconciliation, carrying the message that saves people from the curse and brings them into blessing. God desires that none should perish but that all come to repentance.

Reflection: This Easter season, who will you invite to hear the Good News? Eighty percent of people say yes to personal invitations. Your story of Jesus' transformation in your life is powerful. Someone in your circle needs to hear about the God who fulfills His promises—both judgment and salvation. Make a plan. Set goals. Invite intentionally. The eternal destiny of those around you may depend on your willingness to share the hope you've found in Christ.

Response: Make a concrete invite plan: write down at least three names of people you will personally invite to church this Easter (or to a gospel conversation). Pray for them by name today and reach out to at least one person.
