BIG IDEA: The life you build determines who lives there.
Scripture: 1 Kings 6:13 – “And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.” The Temple wasn’t built just to be admired—it was built to be inhabited. Every stone, every detail of its design pointed to this one purpose: that God’s presence would fill the house. Without His presence, it was just an impressive building. With His presence, it became holy. This is where the building process of the Christian life leads us: not just clearing ground, laying foundations, or even following God’s blueprint. The ultimate goal is that our lives become a dwelling place for God’s Spirit.Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” The Holy Spirit isn’t an accessory to your life—He is the very presence of God living in you. He comforts, convicts, guides, and empowers. When you receive Him, you’re no longer building alone; God Himself takes up residence, shaping you into the person He created you to be.
Action Step: Pause today and invite the Holy Spirit to fill your life in a fresh way. Ask Him to lead your decisions, guide your words, and shape your thoughts. If you’ve never done this before, simply pray, “Holy Spirit, I invite You to dwell in me.”
Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank You for making my life Your dwelling place. Fill me today with Your presence, guide my steps, and shape me into the person God wants me to be. May I live each day aware that You are with me. Amen.
