Friday: Wise Up Week 2 “The key to real success is to walk in the ways of God.”

Today’s Topic:  Preparing for Eternity

Passage: 1 Kings 2:10-12

"Then David slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David... So Solomon sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom was firmly established."

David's passing and Solomon’s succession remind us of the inevitability of life's transitions and the importance of preparing for eternity. David was ready to meet his Maker, secure in his relationship with God. His example prompts us to consider our readiness for eternal life and encourages us to live with purpose and alignment with God’s will.

Reflect on your relationship with God. Are you prepared for eternity? While we may not know when our last day will come, we can choose to live a life rooted in faith and obedience, confident in the eternal life promised through Christ. Preparation for eternity begins with an intimate relationship with God and a commitment to His commandments.

Remember that 1 John 5:13 says that “we may KNOW that we have eternal life”.  We don’t have to wonder.  We can know.  And in the safety of KNOWING that our relationship with God is secure, we can continue to grow in the journey of our walk with God.

Action Step: Take time today to evaluate your spiritual readiness for eternity and make any needed commitments to deepen your walk with God.
