BIG IDEA: Wise and Godly leaders that can work as a team and trust in God above stuff will always get what they need.
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 11:14 - "Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety."
Reflection: Any time you go back and watch interviews of great champions in sports, they always will reflect and give credit to their team. Even the greatest stars can’t do it all by themselves. It’s critical that we remember to value team because GOD values a team mentality. I pray this week that everyone feels like they are part of a team. Hopefully you feel like your family is a team. And perhaps you feel like you have a team at work. But what about the family of God? Are you on a TEAM at Connect? We want you to feel like you are part of all of it!!!
God's blueprint for leadership involves collaboration and unity. In Proverbs 11:14, we see the wisdom in surrounding ourselves with counselors, aligning with the message that wise and Godly leaders need to form teams. The church, the body of Christ, thrives when individuals contribute their unique gifts for the common good. Solomon was wise to build a team, recognizing that even the wisest leaders cannot succeed alone. Embracing teamwork is not merely a practical strategy but a divine directive that enhances our strength and deepens our impact.
Action Step: Where do you fit on the team? Are you serving? Are you in a small group? If you’ve got questions about either, email me at chris@connectchurchstl.com and I’ll help you out. If you're not yet part of a serving team or small group, reach out and find a way to contribute. Join a small group or volunteer at a local ministry.
