Saturday: Seeking God First

BIG IDEA: Wise and Godly leaders that can work as a team and trust in God above stuff will always get what they need.

Scripture Reading:  Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Reflection:  Seek God first TODAY.  Seek God first in your RELATIONSHIPS.  Seek God first at WORK.  Seek God first with your HOBBIES.  Seek God first with your FINANCES.  Seek God first with your FAMILY.   Over and over again, we see that God rewards those who seek Him FIRST.  I’ve been guilty many times of putting my own plan forward and then asking God to bless me on the tale end of the plan.  That’s not what seeking God looks like.  Seeking God looks like going to Him first.

Prioritizing God's kingdom ensures that our needs are met with His divine provision. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus instructs us to focus on His kingdom and righteousness. This means aligning our desires and actions with His will, resulting in a life of fulfillment and purpose. Solomon's story illustrates that despite possessing vast wealth and wisdom, what truly mattered was his relationship with God. As we seek God first, our perspective shifts, leading us away from worldly distractions and toward eternal significance.

Action Step:  Take inventory of your daily priorities. Make a conscious effort to place God at the center of your schedule, decisions, and interactions each day.
