Day 4: Big Idea: The accuser calls us idiots. God calls us BRAVE.
Scripture: Acts 4:1-4
"The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were speaking to the people. They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. They seized Peter and John and, because it was evening, they put them in jail until the next day. But many who heard the message believed; so the number of men who believed grew to about five thousand."
5000!!! Wow!!!! And that same Spirit of God is at work today. Peter and John's bold proclamation of Jesus’ resurrection challenged the existing religious protocols, leading to their arrest. Despite the opposition, their testimony resulted in the conversion of thousands, displaying the life-changing power of the gospel. The passage reminds us that when we live in faith, opposition is often met with an even greater harvest of faith.
God's truth, when bravely declared, holds the power to transform lives despite cultural or legal opposition. We are encouraged to stand firm in our witness, trusting that God's word will not return void but fulfill the purpose for which it was sent.
ACTION: Consider a situation where you face a challenge because of your faith. Stand firm in speaking about your belief in Jesus, trusting God to work through any opposition.
Prayer Prompt: "God, give me the courage to proclaim Your gospel regardless of opposition, and let Your Spirit move mightily through my witness."
SONG FOR THE DAY. “No Longer Slaves”. We don’t have to fear man. We are set free to believe God and be His witness. Click the Link: Zach Williams - No Longer Slaves (Live from Harding Prison)
