Tuesday: Remembering Your God Story

BIG IDEA: The wisdom of WELCOMING GOD gives us a CLEAR VISION for our lives.

Scripture: 1 Kings 8:20-21 (ESV)

"Now the Lord has fulfilled his promise that he made. For I have risen in the place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and I have built the house for the name of the Lord, the God of Israel."

Reflecting on Solomon’s words, we see the importance of remembering our personal "God story." Solomon was aware of God's faithfulness in his life and his family. He took time to acknowledge the promises fulfilled by God, reinforcing his trust and reliance on the Lord's plans. In our lives, despite the uncertainties and challenges, remembering how God has worked in the past can strengthen our faith and renew our vision for the future.

Anytime I get frustrated, discouraged, afraid, sad, or even angry…..taking a few minutes to thank God for meeting me where I was and transforming my life can always give me perspective.

As you ponder your God story, consider how He has led you through various seasons. Think about the times when you have experienced His guiding hand and faithful support. By recalling these moments, you can anchor your present faith in past experiences of His grace, allowing it to kindle hope and anticipation for what is yet to come, and maintaining the clarity of sight in His divine purpose for your life.

ACTION STEP:  Write down one specific instance where you have witnessed God's faithfulness in your life. Share these stories with someone you trust or reflect on them in prayer.
