Reading: 1 Samuel 17:45-47 “Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.””

2 Kings 6:16 ‭“He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.””

Devotional: "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Elisha's words seemed absurd to his terrified servant. They were two men against an entire army. But Elisha understood what David knew facing Goliath: the battle belongs to the Lord, and He doesn't need superior numbers or weapons.

Reflection: You may feel outnumbered today—by bills, by problems, by opposition, by temptation. But count differently. God plus you is always a majority. The question isn't whether you have enough strength, resources, or ability. The question is: whose battle is this? When you fight on your knees with hands lifted high, you access heaven's army. You're not fighting for victory; you're fighting from victory already won.

Response: What battle are you trying to win in your own strength? Surrender it to God today. Spend time in worship, acknowledging that this battle belongs to Him.
