Reading: 2 Kings 5:13-14; John 3:14-18
2 Kings 5:13-14 “And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.”
John 3:14-18 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
Naaman's servants spoke wisdom: "If the prophet had asked something great, wouldn't you have done it? How much more this simple thing?" Sometimes the hardest commands are the simplest ones—surrender, get baptized, forgive, serve, share your faith. These aren't complicated, but they require humility. When Naaman finally obeyed, his flesh became like a child's. Obedience brought transformation. Jesus offers the same simplicity: believe and be saved. No elaborate ritual, just humble faith in His finished work. The blood of Christ cleanses completely when we stop arguing and start trusting.
What simple step is God asking you to take today? Stop complicating it. Stop negotiating. Just obey. God's greatest miracles often follow our smallest acts of obedience.
