Monday: The Problem We Cannot Fix

Reading: Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
John 20:11-14 “But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet. They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.” Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.”
Devotional: Mary stood at the tomb weeping, confronted with a problem beyond her control—death had taken her Lord. Like Mary, we face problems we cannot solve on our own. The mirror reveals our deepest issue: sin. We may compare ourselves to others, thinking we're "not that bad," but Scripture is clear—all have sinned and fallen short. Death is a fact. Sin is universal. Our brokenness is real.
Today, stop trying to fix yourself. Acknowledge that your greatest problem requires a divine solution. The empty tomb Mary discovered wasn't another problem; it was God's answer to the problem of sin and death that has plagued humanity since Eden.
Song of the Day: Oh How I Need You | All Sons and Daughters (Official Live Concert)
Action Step: Take 5–10 minutes to honestly write down the “problems you can’t fix” in a journal or on your phone—especially areas of sin and brokenness. When you’re done, write across the top: “I need a Savior.”
Daily Prayer: Lord, I confess that I cannot fix myself. I admit that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. I bring You the problems I cannot solve and the sins I cannot clean up. Open my eyes to see my need for You, and soften my heart to receive Your solution. Amen.
