Thursday: Better Late Than Never

Reading: Romans 10:13-17 “For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Devotional: It’s easy for all of us today.  We are all guilty.  We delay in sharing the Good News.  Sometimes it’s due to fear.  Sometimes we don’t feel like it.  Sometimes we feel like we are too busy.  Sometimes we just get caught up in our own lives and in our own little world.  The lepers delayed sharing the good news, enjoying the feast before remembering their starving neighbors. They were late—but they still shared.

Reflection: How many people in your life need to hear about Jesus, yet you've remained silent? Maybe you're waiting for the perfect moment, the right words, or more biblical knowledge. Stop waiting. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes through someone speaking. The lepers weren't theologians or prophets—they were dying men who found life and couldn't keep it to themselves.

Response: This Easter season, who has God placed on your heart? Write their name down. Pray for them. Then take one step: invite them to church, share your story, or simply tell them you're praying for them. It's better late than never.
