Tuesday: Walking by Faith, Not by Sight
- Mar 3

Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:7 “for we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Romans 8:31 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Devotional: Faith isn't ignoring reality—it's seeing a greater reality. When circumstances scream defeat, faith whispers God's promises. Paul reminds us that we walk by faith, not by sight, because what we see is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
The Syrian king saw only military strategy. Elisha saw God's sovereign plan. The difference? Spiritual vision.
Reflection: Today, you're facing decisions, challenges, and uncertainties. Will you rely solely on what your natural eyes perceive, or will you trust what God's Word reveals? God is always working, even when you don't see or feel it. He never stops.
When circumstances feel overwhelming or unclear, remember that what you see is only part of the story. Faith invites you to anchor your confidence not in shifting situations, but in the unchanging character of God. What feels delayed or difficult may actually be God positioning you for something greater than you can currently perceive.
Response: Identify one area where you're relying on your own understanding. Surrender it to God today. Declare Romans 8:31 over that situation: "If God is for me, who can be against me?" Let faith, not fear, guide your next step.
Choose today to act in trust — even in a small way. Take one obedient step forward, believing that the God who is for you is already working on your behalf.
