WEDNESDAY: The Chain Reaction of Choices

Big Idea:
Remembering God for what He’s done and what He’s doing brings the blessing. Forgetting God brings the CRUMBLE.
Reading:
Galatians 6:7-10
“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
James 1:13-15
“Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.”
Devotional:
One decision rarely stands alone. Josiah's choice to fight Egypt created a chain reaction that eventually led to Judah's downfall. David's glance became adultery, which became murder, which fractured his family. Peter's fear led to denial. Small compromises create devastating consequences.
Reflection:
Today, examine the "small" areas of compromise in your life. That "harmless" entertainment, that "minor" dishonesty, that "justified" bitterness—these are seeds that produce harvests. The good news? Positive choices also create chain reactions.
Response:
One act of obedience can spark revival. One moment of courage can change generations. What chain reaction are you starting today? Choose wisely, for you will reap what you sow.
