Reading: 1 Peter 1:3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
1 John 5:11-13 “And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.”
Devotional: “I do not know where they have laid him,” Mary cried, her future suddenly uncertain. Anxiety grips us when we cannot control what's next—health diagnoses, broken relationships, financial instability. But the resurrection changes everything.
The same power that raised Jesus from death is available to roll away the stones in your life—stones of despair, bitterness, and hopelessness. Your future isn't secured by your planning, your savings, or your strength. It's secured by the risen Christ. Because He lives, you can face tomorrow. Because He conquered death, your story doesn't end in the grave. God's resurrection power gives you a "living hope"—not wishful thinking, but confident assurance that your eternal future is safe in His hands.
Song of the Day: Matt Maher - Because He Lives (Amen) ([Official Lyric Video])
Action Step: List your top three worries about the future. Next to each one, write: “Because He lives, this does not have the final word.” Pray over each item, consciously handing it to Jesus.
Daily Prayer: Risen Savior, I confess that I worry about what I cannot control. Thank You that my future is secure in Your hands. Teach me to rest in Your resurrection power and to trust that because You live, I can face tomorrow. Replace my fear with living hope. Amen.
